About Krushi Sarathi
Farming, worth staying for.
For years, his farm was a liability. He never wanted his children to inherit it. His story was the story of this region. A place the world came to know for its farmer suicides.
We were born here. So we understood the truth others missed.
The farmer was not failing. The market was failing him. Overcharged for every input. Underpaid for every harvest. Shut out from the finance that could have changed everything.
So we began to rebuild that market, one village at a time.
Today, across 15 districts, 40,000+ families earn through the year, not just through one season. 2,221 village artisans turn crop waste into biochar that heals the soil for free. That same waste becomes clean energy. And for the first time, these fields are connected to global carbon finance.
We do this alongside Tata Trusts, Reliance Industries, Varaha, and IIT Madras.
The farmer earns dignified income throughout the year. His farm is an asset. And his children are starting to see a future worth staying for.

Preparing to implement regenerative farming practices across 6,000 hectares of cotton and maize in Maharashtra, in collaboration with Varaha.earth, aiming to improve soil health and generate carbon credits.
